Numerology

Numerology is the belief that numbers influence our lives or that there is a divine relationship between numbers and the events happening to and around us. Numerology can be used to add clarity to the things happening around us and forecast the kinds of energies that will influence you in the future. 

Life Path Number

Your life path number is the most crucial number in numerology. It reveals the path you’re on in life and the person you’re going to become. 

Take your birthday and add all the numbers together. See the example for the  birthday of January 4th, 1999.

         1 + 4 + 1999 = 2004

Then add all of the digits together until you have only a single digit remaining. 

2+0+0+4=6

In the above example, 6 would be that person’s life path number. 

Number Meanings

ONE This is the number of individuation and independence. The person has to
learn to stand on his or her own two feet and achieve something. People with 
this number as a main one often start out in life by being dependent, and
gradually become more and more independent as they mature. They have
leadership potential and usually end up in the "number one" position, perhaps
running their own business or managing someone else's. They have strong
personal needs that have to be met. They are inclined to be self-centered,
though this is often concealed behind a screen of charm. The keyword is
INDEPENDENCE and ATTAINMENT.

TWO This is the number of tact and diplomacy. People with this number are
easy to get along with. They co-operate and harmonize well with others. They
are inclined to be sensitive and are intuitive. They often act as the "power
behind the throne". They can never be a good "number one", but they do an
excellent job in the number two position. They are extremely sensitive to the
feelings of others. They make wonderful friends, giving and receiving much
friendship and love. The keyword is TACT and DIPLOMACY.

THREE This is the number of self-expression. These people need to express
themselves in some sort of way, ideally creatively. They are light-heatted,
carefree, frivolous and skim over the surface of things. They make charming and
delightful companions, but often lack motivation. They are full of ideas, but
very few of them are ever achieved. They have a definite talent with words.
They are usually wonderful conversationalists, though this gift is sometimes also
expressed by writing, acting or singing. The keyword is CREATIVE SELFEXPRESSION.

FOUR This is the number of system and order. People with this number work
slowly and steadily towards their goals. They are plodders, rather than whizkids.
They need to work within the confines they find themselves in. They can
establish and maintain system and order. They are conscientious, patient and
willing to work hard. They are serious, honest and loyal. However, they are
also rigid and dogmatic in their approach. The keyword is LIMITATION and
SYSTEM AND ORDER.

FIVE This is the number of freedom and variety. People with this number need
something exciting ahead of them all the time. They are versatile, restless,
impatient and enjoy travel. They often have difficulty with routine tasks. These
people never really grow up. They are enthusiastic, but get distracted very
easily and end up trying to do twenty things at the same time. Once they find
the right thing for them, and this is usually in their middle years, their progress
can be astonishing. The keyword is CONSTRUCTIVE USE OF FREEDOM.

SIX This is the number of home, friends, and family responsibility. These people care
for others, particularly people who are close to them (family, in a wide sense of
the word). They are natural humanitarians and are good at balancing and
defusing difficult situations. They often accept much more than their fair share
of responsibility. They are loving, appreciative, generous and are always willing
to help. They usually love children and relate well to them. Consequently, they
make good teachers. The keyword is HOME AND FAMILY
RESPONSIBILITY.

SEVEN This is the number of analysis and wisdom. These people are quiet,
often shy, and like to look beyond the surface of things. They are good with '
the details of things, and are frequently interested in technology and spirituality.
They grow in knowledge and wisdom all the way through life. They are a little
bit "different" and this can make it hard for them to make friends easily or to fit
into a group. The advantage of this is that it gives them access to unique
solutions. They are introspective and reserved. The keyword is
UNDERSTANDING and SPIRITUALITY.

EIGHT This is the number of money and finance. People with this number
want to be involved in large scale undertakings, and they also want to receive
their due financial reward. They will work long and hard to achieve their
financial goals. Once they have reached these goals, they can then be very
generous. These people are rigid and often stubborn. They are also ambitious,
capable and confident. They have good business skills and keep their feet
firmly on the ground. The keyword is MONEY and MATERIALISM.

NINE This is the number of the humanitarian. These people enjoy helping
others. At times they may resent the fact that they always seem to be giving, yet
get back very little in return. In time they realise that their greatest pleasure
comes in giving without thought of any reward. They need to make sure that
they do not get imposed upon by everyone and become other people's "door
mats". They are idealistic, sensitive, refined and romantic. They are also creative

Special Numbers!

While numbers 1-9 are the main numbers of numerology, there are certain double digit numbers that stand out. If you come accross either of these when narrowing down to your single digit life path number STOP! You have one of the Master Numbers, 11 or 22. 
EXAMPLE: June 10th 1993
6+10+1993=2009
2+0+0+9=11
Normally you would then add 1+1 to get the life path number of 2. Eleven, however, is a MASTER NUMBER. It holds a special weight, so we stop there. 

ELEVEN This is the number of illumination and inspiration. People with this
number have access to all sorts of high-level awarenesses that most of us do not
receive. They are extremely capable and get wonderful ideas, but need to make
sure that these ideas are practical. They are idealistic dreamers and seldom
achieve more than a minute fraction of what they are capable of achieving.
Everyone is aware of their superior capabilities, and often expect more than
these people feel capable - or willing - to give. There is often a great deal of
nervous tension associated with master numbers. The keyword is
ILLUMINATION and INSPIRATION.

TWENTY-TWO This number is known as the Master Builder. These people
have the awarenesses of the eleven, but also have the necessary practicality to
carry the ideas out. They are extremely capable and have the opportunity to
make their mark in life. They are practical and have an unusual approach to
problems, often using lateral thinking to create unique solutions. They are
often charismatic and have the ability to inspire and motivate others. They are
usually at their peak fairly late in life. The pressures and nervous tension of a
master number make it very difficult to achieve well early on in life. The
keyword is MASTER BUILDER.
